How I got here
I've always been a daydreamer, making up stories in my mind, sometimes writing them out, but usually just letting them take up space in my brain. Until 2010 when I could not get a female character out of my brain. This character became known as Sadie Montgomery, one of the female main characters in The Fragile Line Series. When I met her, it was at the midpoint in her story where she was faced with a choice to make: Stay or Go. At that point, Sadie was in a terrible relationship with her childhood friend who she felt indebted to. I let myself to know Sadie from that point. I let her tell me her backstory and her future. Months later, I decided I needed to write Sadie's story for her. I wanted to reach other people who had maybe been in Sadie's shoes or knew someone who had. Over the next few years, I figured out that when I can't get something out of my head, I need to write it down.
